OUR pantry
We are the founders behind Community Red Social Supermarket, a supermarket offering food and essentials for just £5 a basket to the local community. At the end of 2024 we launched a store on Union Street but due to a hostile environment, we took the leap to move in store in January.
We noticed the growing number of local people suffering from food poverty and we knew we had to do something about it, We are on a mission to help minimise good crime and help local people access affordable food through minimizing food waste whether this be an incorrect label printed or misshapen vegetables, it can now be found on our shelves for local families.
We have three deliveries every week on a Wednesday morning, We are fully stocked Wednesday afternoon and open until 4pm on Fridays.

Community Red Social Supermarket is open to everyone—no need to prove your income, just come as you are. We know how tough life can be, and we’re here to help.
